Our First Ever Emmons/Jenkins Siblings, kids and parents reunion!! 2011

So last week Scott and I set out on the drive to Eden UT (near Park City) for our first ever family reunion on my side for only my siblings, parents and our kids! The drive was long- being in my third trimester, but it passed quickly, and Scott and I had fun together- listening to the Tennis Shoes among the Nephite series. We finally arrived after some awful experiences with people at a couple gas stations in Northern Utah that were really rude... One calling me a "First Free-loader of the Day" after using their bathroom while Scott was pumping some VERY over-priced gas by about a dollar and a half a gallon. When I pointed him out filling gas the guy still didn't apologize. WOW. Won't go there EVER again!

But alas- we made it- the first ones to the house too! Great timing, since we left at 3am we made it around 4pm Utah time. So we put all our stuff in the house and headed out to eat dinner before most everyone else arrived! Then we welcomed everyone and family time for the next week!

We started the vacation by all of us that were endowed went to a LIVE session at the Salt Lake Temple- WOW!!!! One of the BEST experiences in my life!!!! Caira was going so active and kicking and moving like crazy in there- like she recognized being so close to home! I love that sweet girl! Then we went back to the house for more food, games and fun!

We played games all week (Our kind of heaven) and had a blast just talking, hanging out and being together. We are so excited to do it again in 2014, (maybe in CA) and can't wait to see them all again in November in AZ!

When we went to Salt Lake for the session (yes my belly is there! ;)

Yes.. this may look odd.. but you do what you have to for kids happy faces right? I don't think we have ever seen Ansel stay this still... ever... ;) it was great! Then they colored themselves in- they were so proud! I love my mom and her ideas!!

After Scott and I headed to tour Salt Lake City Temple Square- Scott hadn't been since he was too young to remember, and then we headed to my Aunt Melinda's to stay the night before heading home Saturday...

Then Saturday we headed home... We were glad to be home but sad to see such an amazing trip go :-/  We can't wait for the next one!!
